Cathy Brennan, radical “feminist” terrorist, has set her sights on a young black activist in Baltimore County, MD. Phylicia Sampson is being taken to court by Brennan, a notorious harasser of trans women and their supporters. Sampson is a recent college grad with few resources, no car and no way to fight back without your help.

As a community, we’ve suffered Brennan’s assaults for a long time—her blog is the best known for outing trans women’s personal information. She believes trans women are men who are infiltrating the feminist community and expends her resources fighting them. The idea that she is now taking her harassment to a legal venue is horrifying. That she has selected a young black woman with few resources to fight back is repugnant.

EDIT: So I got an update, and if we don’t pay in full then the attorney will apparently set a debt collector on us. Which is great, isn’t it? 

Which pretty much means that we can actually get kicked out of home, or…who even fucking knows debt collectors are fucking nasty as hell. 

My current goal to help mom out is to reach $2850 to help out my mom - combined with my college tuition savings and my own personal savings that should be enough to pay off the attorney. I know it’s a lot of money, but even a dollar or two will go a long way.

Update: I’ve reached $430/$2850! :) Thank you to everyone who’s helped out. I’m really, really hoping that we’ll be able to reach my full goal. I’ve got a link HERE for donations so you don’t have to go to my page or enter in my email.

Update (6/10/13) Hi ok so I’ve reached around $435 and I’ve got like, three weeks left to come up with some money. Ok so here’s the deal.

Last night our internet was cut off, simply because we can’t afford to keep paying for it, I’m currently writing this from a shitty internet cafe about a mile away from where I live.

The other donation page is still up, but has so little traffic I’m kind of only leaving it up as a reminder by this point.

I have kept back a few points that illustrate daily just how dire the situation my Mother and I are in, simply because it’s personal. but I think I really have to illustrate the point now.

My Mother and I shower once a month. We wash our hair once a fortnight. This is because, thanks to the situation the Government has put us in, we can barely afford water. It has been this way since November last year.

Also since November last year, we have not once used the Heating, regardless of the fact that this meant we had to go through the coldest Winter Britain has had in recorded history with no heating whatsoever.

We’re looking for places to move to, but nowhere in our price bracket will accept people on Benefits, they say this phrase: ‘No DDR’, which means they do not want people on Benefits.

I usually save aside £10 a month for luxuries, just so Mother and I can continue to feel Human rather than depressed grey blobs, we barely even have that anymore.

Work is non-existent for someone with my qualifications, and believe me when I say that, while I do not regret taking six years out of education to help care for my Grandmother, I begin to resent it a little when I’m told I’m under-qualified.

I don’t expect to raise the full amount I;m asking for, simply because it’s a lot. But it’s there to illustrate just how seriously we’re backed into a corner.

Mother is depressed, and her PTSD is acting up in reaction to the constant stress we are under. I, myself, am only kept on the straight and narrow due to the presence of my friends, and now with the internet cut off, I won’t even have that.

I would say it would not be lying to say we’re in a financial “situation”. Between my total underemployment (hi, 9 hour weeks I LOVE YOU SO MUCH) and a few things coming out of the bank account that should have drawn from paypal, things are looking unexpectedly tight around here.

So this is me officially opening up the askbox for anyone who would want me to doodle something. I am open to anything (given reference of some kind). I will draw you. I will draw your original character or fantroll. I will draw your cannibal and his puppy owning boyfriend. (I will not promise canonical accuracy on things I’m not in the fandom of but I will draw them.) 

I won’t draw gore or non-con though. I mean, good luck to you if you really want me to draw CONSENTUAL porn but I’m up for the challenge.

Prices are negotiable but say, $2 for a single color sketch; $5 or so for a  colored one, $10ish for a more detailed one-character piece, $15 or $20 depending on complexity for something more like the one on the bottom that would require pose reference and research. Obviously paid work would be taken very seriously; these examples were just for fun.

Don’t like pictures? I also write (and edit if that’s a thing people still pay for)! This is my AO3 (filled with terribly old fanfic because most of my things are original these days). I’m also open to gifsets  , other mediums like Illustrator/vectors, logos, banners, etc.

• Once we all grew beans in pots as part of a Biology experiment- the experiment failed miserably and made the whole lab stink, but his was the only bean that grew and he was actually pretty proud about it
• He learned to knit as part of a school project where he had to learn a creative skill, and when a couple of people teased him about it he said “gender is a social construct” and carried on knitting like a badass
• He loves the scene in The Great Gatsby where Gatsby throws all his silk shirts around and he and I used to giggle over it together
• Once I asked him if he had a string of tinsel I could use in a photoshoot and he brought me a big cardboard box full of tinsel and fairy lights because he’s a helpful and lovely guy
